The Old Master Paintings & Drawings department is a forefront player in the Parisian art market. Tajan auction house annually hold four auctions devoted to paintings, with the support from Turquin office specialist. These sales cover ancient paintings in general, presented in our catalogues chronologically and by schools : Italian, Flemish, and Dutch, then French. Every session ends with a chapter dedicated to the XIXth century known as ‘’classical’’.
Our department also stand up for graphic art with drawings, by devoting two annual sales. All techniques are represented : pencil, ink, watercolours, wash red chalk drawing, and pastel.
